Green Card Lottery in Other Languages

The Green Card Lottery officially started taking applications for entry on October 1, 2013. Specifically, these applications are for the Diversity Visa Lottery 2015.

The sign up process is in some ways delicate as mistakes are not easily forgiven by the Department of State.

Any significant errors discovered by the U.S. Department of State will result in the registration application being thrown out. Registrants only have this one chance in the year to apply for the lottery correctly.

This is why it is exceedingly important to be familiar with the instructions associated with the Green Card Lottery.

The U.S. State Department offers these instructions in several languages including:

  • Albanian
  • Armenian
  • Bulgarian
  • Japanese
  • Polish
  • Turkish
  • Romanian
  • Polish
  • Ukrainian
  • Uzbek

However, these translations of the Green Card Lottery are not the official versions of the instructions. English is the only official version of the document.

For this reason, many people choose to get assistance when applying for the Green Card Lottery to make sure that their application will not get rejected for a small mistake or misinterpretation.

This year’s Green Card Lottery will end at noon Eastern Standard Time on November 2, 2013. No more applications will be accepted after that date.

Applicants must be from one of the eligible countries of origin and meet certain education requirements in order to be accepted into the Green Card Lottery.

Winners of the Green Card Lottery will be announced on May 1, 2013. These winners will then proceed to applying for an immigration visa with the U.S. Department of State.
